Sculpture plus art
This is where sculpture meets art in a modern marriage of the two. Bronze is beautiful but there are spaces in the home where colour is definitely needed. Decorating my sculptures brings a unique dimension that has not been explored much in the art world.
Background
My sculptures are representational of the model in pose and I build up the form with clay. The sculpture is then hollowed out before firing and finally a marble resin cast is made. I then work on design, using traditional Japanese handmade papers and texture to bring a further dimension to the piece.
